Relatively unknown a decade ago, Candi Dasa is now a popular and relaxing retreat that has managed to maintain its village identity. Attractions include snorkeling, diving to the bottle and temple tours in Candi Dasa. The panorama of the islands surrounding the left, Nusa Penida directly in front and headland to the right is easy to admire, with most hotels and resorts directly facing the sea. Staying here, you will loose less time if you you venture out to some traditional focal points of Bali. So there are some interesting, off beat paths to follow in the part of the island by planting salak and forgotten villages.
